초등과학 교과서에서 지형경관과 관련된 사진 분석

본 연구는 초등 과학 및 실험 관찰 교과서의 지구 영역에 제시된 지형경관과 관련한 지질 현상, 지질 구조, 지형 및 암석에 관한 사진을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 지형경관과 관련된 사진은 초등 과학 교과서에서 23종류의 53장이, 실험 관찰 교과서에서는 21종류의 30장이 제시되었다. 이 중 해설은 총 32종류 중 약 53%인 17종류에 대해서만 설명되어져 있다. 지형경관과 관련된 학습은 직접 야외 및 현장에 나가 관찰하는 것이 바람직하지만, 현실적인 제약이 많이 따르기에 교과서에 수록된 사진의 역할 및 해설이 중요하다. 따라서 지구영역에 제시된 여러 사진 중에서, 지형경관에 해당되는 사진에 대해서는 보다 자세한 설명이 교과서 및 교사용 지도서에 서술되어 져야할 것이다.
Abstract
In this study, photographs of geomorphological landscapes connected with several geologicalphenomena including rocks and structures were analyzed, being exhibited in the Earth Science domains ofelementary Science and Experiment-Observation textbooks. From the results of the study, it shows that relatedwith topographical landscapes, the Science textbooks have 53 photographs belonging to 23 kindsExperiment-Observation textbooks show 30 ones belonging to 21 kinds of experiment-observation. Of these32 kinds of photographs (except overlapped cases), 17 kinds of about 53% for possess explanations on theirphotographs, only. Though it is hopeful that learning on geomorphological landscapes is actually carried out infield, roles of photographs with suitable explanations are very important because of immediate limits onteaching. Therefore, it is necessary that photographs of geomorphological landscapes in Earth Science domainhave to make out suitable explanations in elementary textbooks and guide books for teachers.
