초등 과학에서의 지형·지질 관련 학습 내용 분석

현행 초등 과학은 물질, 에너지, 생명 및 지구 영역으로 구성되어 있다. 지구영역은 초등학교 3학년에서 6학년까지 16개 단원으로 구성되며, 이 중 지질학 분야는 8개 단원으로 구성 되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 초등과학의 지질학 관련 학습 내용을 세분하여 지질학과 지형학 관련 내용을 구분하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 지형학 관련 내용은 초등 과학 3, 4 학년의 단원에 집중 되어 있다. 초등 과학의 지구 영역에서 지형학 관련 내용은 지표면 기복의 형태에 관한 내용 보다는 지형 형성 작용에 관한 내용이 대부분을 차지한다.
Abstract
As to the present elementary school science, it is consisted of four fields like material, energy, life and earth. The field of earth is consisted of 16 units from the third grade to the sixth grade at the elementary school. Among them, the field of geology is composed of 8 units. This study was to subdivide the learning contents related to the geology from the elementary school science, and analyze the curriculum related to the geology and geomorphology separately. As a result of analysis, the learning contents related to the geomorphology was focused on the units at the third and fourth grade of elementary school science. As to the learning contents related to the geomorphology in the field of earth from the elementary school science, the contents of geomorphic process took most rather than the ones of the form of relief on the earth?s surface.
