새말 형성과 의미 구성에 대한 틀 이론적 분석
A frame-theoretical analysis of coining neologism and its semantic construction

This study aims to understand the semantic principles of coining neologisms using frame theory for 'the formation of the meaning of neologisms'. G. Lakoff said that when creating political terms, choosing and combining languages is forming a frame. By the way this phenomenon can be observed not only when it comes to political terms but also when it comes to all neolosisms. When naming specific objects or abstract concepts, the namer selects the language with the most highlighted semantic element among the various semantic elements associated with the object or concept. Then, the meaning revealed in this language leads people to perceive objects or concepts in a particular frame. That is, when coining a neologism, the namer intends that people evoke a particular frame through neologism. To analyze these principles, this study described how to analyze languages using the frame, and discussed that 'neologism (name)' serves as a frame for viewing certain meanings of objects or concepts around it, viewing them in certain situations or perspectives, or not recognizing other parts as intended.
