The purpose of this article is to examine the formation and stabilization of new words, focusing on the relationship to the word formation mechanism of analogy. Recently, discussions on the formation and stabilization of new words, which have been increasing very rapidly in quantity, have been actively conducted. The stabilization of new words has been mainly dealt with in relation to the frequency of these new words and to the acceptance of them within the language community, which is a criterion for determining the results of new words used according to internal and external factors. In this regard, this study aims to present predictability for the stabilization of new words and to examine the formation and stabilization of new words in relation to each other. Words formed by analogy are likely to survive longer through relevance or similarity to existing words, and even new words formed by analogy are expected to have different usage patterns and continuity patterns within the language community depending on the type of analogy involved in the word formation. This study aims to raise the possibility of examining the stabilization of new words from an internal linguistic perspective.
