이 연구는 관계 측면에서의 교사 열정 체험에 관한 탐구이다. 기존의 연구들이 열정의 도구적 역할에 중점을둔 반면, 이 연구는 열정적인 두 교사와 학생들을 심층면담하고 참여관찰 함으로써 열정의 속성을‘관계’의 차원에서 조명하고 열정의 교육적 의미를 발견하고자 하였다. 교사의 열정은‘내가 불을 밝혀서 함께 쓰는에너지’이기에 관계가 기반이 된다. 교사와 학생의 관계에서 열정은‘테크닉 너머의 가르침’이고‘나와 너로이어주는 힘’이었으며 또한‘고맙지만 부담스러운 마음’이기도 했다. 동료교사들과의 관계에서 열정은‘함께나누는 에너지’였지만 때로는‘삶을 구속하는 모습’이기도 했다. 교육의 관점에서 열정 체험은 첫째,‘기투’라는 존재론적 특성에 의해 잠재적 열정이 실천적 열정으로 이행된 것이며 타자에게 전이될 때 의미를 더했다. 둘째, 탈영토화의 욕망 속에서도 자신의 지평을 성찰하고 타인의 지평을 포용하려 했다. 셋째, 여러 층 관계 구조도‘나와 너’의 존재적 관계에서의 열정을 상승시켰다. 열정 체험이 갖는 이러한 의미는 교사의 열정이 몰입하기 보다는 배려하는 열정이어야 하며 열정은‘있다, 없다’,‘많다, 적다’로 단정 지을 수 없는 다양한 모습의존재 특성임을 함의한다.
Abstract
This study is about the teachers' passion on the relationship dimensions. While previous research centered on teachers' passion as an instrumental tool, I intended to reveal their passion on the basis of relationship dimension and searched for the educational influence of teachers'passion by in-depth interview with two teachers and observation in their classes. Although teachers' passion in the relationship between ‘you and me’ was beyond the teaching techniques to connect teachers and students in the classroom, it was not only a thankful affection but also a burden. In the relationships among co-teachers, passion became both a restriction as well as a shared energy. From the view of education, teachers' passion has the following meanings. First, it gained authentic meaning when a potential passion was transformed into practical passionate behaviors of teachers through struggling human beings(entwurf). Second, passionate teachers tried to embrace others' perspectives and to reflect on their own activities in spite of their desire for deterritorization. Third, passions were increased by various layers of relationships. In this respect, teachers' passions in education should be tolerant passions, rather than immersed passions. Also, teachers' passions had a variety of characteristics, rather than a choice between two extremes such as 'to be, not to be.' or 'much, little.’
