Abstract
This paper analyzes Korean manufacturing industries in 2010~2018 and estimates wage elasticities of labor demand separately for multinational subsidiaries and domestic firms. A dynamic panel model is adopted to reflect persistence in employment adjustment. Estimated elasticities range 0.78~0.89 but no significant difference has been found between multinational subsidiaries and domestic firms. Overall, this paper finds no evidence that multinational activities cause unstable employment.
