본 연구는 빈약한 또래관계를 탐색하고 학령전기 아동의 자유놀이상황에서 또래관계를 분석한 것이다. 연구대상은 대구시내에 있는 5개 어린이집의 만 4세에서 만 5세 아동 103명이며 자유놀이시간에 아동의 놀이를 녹화하였고 녹화된 필름은 훈련된 관찰자가 시간 표집(10초 관찰과 20초 기록)방법으로 4개의 사회적 범주, 즉 1) 혼자 놀이하기, 2) 또래에게 접근하기, 3) 또래가 접근해 오기, 4)또래와 상호작용하기로 분석하였다. 대부분의 아동은 혼자 노는 비사회적 놀이에 열중하였다. 비사회적 놀이를 선행 연구의 분류기준(Coplan, 2000)에 따라 분류하였을 때 대부분의 아동은 조작/구성하기 또는 놀이도구 탐색하기 등의 단독-수동놀이와 구경하거나 돌아다니는 과묵 행동에 열중하였다.
Abstract
This study was to investigate the poor peer relations and analyze the peer relations of preschool children in free play situations. Problematic peer relations are believed to be associated with a number of childhood disorders and behavioral difficulties. Subjects of this study were 103 preschool children. Children were observed 10 minutes by trained observers who used a time-sampling technique(10-seconds observation and 20-seconds recording) and recorded the occurrence of 4 categories of social behaviors: 1) being alone, 2) approaching others, 3) being approached by others, 4) interacting with others. The outcome of this research elucidated the complexity of preschool children's nonsocial play behaviors. Most children in this study played alone and were engaged in solitary passive behavior with constructing the play materials and exploring the play activities, and reticent behavior with observing or wondering around peer who played alone.
