품행장애 아동에 대한 초등교사의 인식연구

본 연구는 초등교사의 품행장애 아동 지도시 느끼는 어려운 점과 대처방법에 대한 인식을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 대구지역의 초등교사 200명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 이에 따른 결과는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램으로 빈도분석을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 품행장애 아동의 지도시 가장 어려운 점은 또래에 대한 폭력행동이었고, 다음으로 학급규칙 위반, 교사에 대한 폭력행동 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 개인적 차원에서 품행장애 아동의 대처방안에 대한 교사들의 인식은 특수교육 연수 유무와 품행장애 아동의 지도경험 유무에 따라 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 특수교육 연수 경험이 있는 교사들은 강화, 보상, 자기관리, 가족상담, 긍정적 행동지원에 대한 인식이 높았다. 품행장애 아동의 지도경험이 있는 교사들은 차별강화, 가족상담, 긍정적 행동지원에 대한 인식이 높았다. 셋째, 학교적 차원에서 품행장애 아동의 대처방안에 대한 교사들의 인식은 특수교육 연수 유무와 품행장애 아동의 지도경험 유무에 따라 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 특수교육 연수 경험이 있는 교사들과 품행장애 아동의 지도경험이 있는 교사들 모두 외부전문기관 의뢰제도 마련, 전문적 지원체계 수립, 긍정적 행동지원에 대한 인식이 높았다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 초등교사들은 품행장애 아동의 지도에서 폭력행동에 대해 큰 어려움을 느꼈고, 이에 대한 개인적, 학교적 차원의 대처방안으로 긍정적 행동지원에 대해 높은 인식을 보였다.
Abstract
This study is aimed at exploring the difficulties of elementary school teachers while guiding children with conduct disorder and how the teachers deal with such children. To accomplish the objective, 200 elementary school teachers in Daegu region were surveyed. The collected data were analyzed using a frequency analysis through SPSS 18.0 program. The research findings are as follows. First, the biggest challenge of guiding children with conduct disorder was violence against peers, followed by violation of classroom rules and violence against teachers. Second, there were significant differences in the perceptions of teachers toward handling children with conduct disorder on a personal level, depending on whether or not they had received special education and training and whether they had worked with such children before. The teachers who had received special education and training had high perceptions of reinforcement, compensation, self-management, family counseling, and positive behavior support. Meanwhile, teachers who had worked with such children before had high perceptions of stronger discrimination, family counseling, and positive behavior support. Third, there were significant differences in perceptions of teachers toward handling children with conduct disorder on a school level, depending on whether or not they had received special education and training and whether they had worked with such children before. All teachers who had received special education and training and those who had worked with such children before had high perceptions of special system established by external organization, specialized support system, and positive behavior support. Based on these results, the behavior of children with elementary school teachers on the guide for violent behavior felt great difficulty, for it personally, and troubleshooting of dimension of school to support positive behavior showed a high awareness.
