본 연구는 성별에 따라 노동자의 노동시장 경험이 다를 것이라는 가정 하에 남녀의 ‘양질의 일자리(good quality work)’를 결정하는 요인을 실증적으로 비교분석하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 제11차 노동패널을 사용하여 로지스틱회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 남성 임금노동자에 비해 여성 임금노동자는 양질의 일자리를 적게 갖고 있었고, 여성 임금노동자는 남성 임금노동자와 달리 자격증 보유, 직업훈련경험 등의 인적자본요인의 영향을 받지 않았으며, 연구대상자 모두 가족 요인과 노동시장의 구조적 요인의 영향을 받았다. 양질의 일자리를 구성하는 조건별로 구분해 양질의 일자리 결정요인을 분석했을 때 조건이나 성별에 상관없이 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변수도 있었고 조건이나 성별에 따라 영향력이 달라지는 변수도 확인할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 임금노동자의 ‘양질의 일자리’ 지원책을 마련할 때 노동자의 성별이 고려되어 설계되어야 함을 보여준다. 결론에서는 이상의 분석 결과를 바탕으로 여성 임금노동자의 일자리 질 향상을 위한 정책을 제언하였다.

Abstract

This study explores determinant factors of having a good quality job by gender, using the 11st panel data from Korea Labor and Income Panel Survey. The study categorizes determinant factors into three types: human capital factors, family factors, and labor market factors. The results are followed: First, fewer female wage workers had good quality jobs than male wage workers did. Second, female wage workers were not influenced by whether to have certification or job training experience among human capital factors. Third, labor market factors influenced research subjects regardless of sex. Finally, significant variables varied from measurement conditions of a good quality job. Based on these findings, the study has discussed some policy implications on gender-sensitive perspective.
