요한복음의 연계부(11-12장)에 나타난 문학기법과 그 기능에 대한 연구: 병행법(Parallelism)과 사슬-연결고리(Chain-link interlock) 분석

요한복음의 구조의 연구에 있어서, 학자들 간에 많은 이견들이 나타난다. 일반적으로 요한복음은 크게 세 부분-서론, 본문, 그리고 저작 후기(epilogue)-으로 분류되지만, 이러한 구분은 학자들 간에 많은 논쟁들을 야기했다. 그중 중요한 논쟁점 가운데 하나는 요한복음 본문의 구분에 관한 것이다. 대부분의 학자들은 요한복음의 본론에 해당하는 1:19-20:31을 두 단락으로 나누어 이해하며, 1-12장은 ‘표적의 책’으로, 13-20장은 ‘영광의 책’ 또는 ‘수난의책’으로 구분한다. 그러나 D.A. Carson은 이러한 구분을 거절한다. 그는 예수님의 고난이 18장 이전에는 등장하지 않는다는 점과 1-12장에서도 예수님의고난이 상당수 등장한다고 주장한다. 최근에는 이중 배열법에 근거한 복합역교차 구조를 통해 요한복음의 구조가 5개의 거시적 단락으로 이루어져 있음이 제안되었다. 특히, 요한복음 11-12장은 나사로의 사건과 향유 부은 여인의 사건이 함께어우러져 형성되어 있다. 그렇기에 11-12장의 구조에 대한 정확한 이해와 내용 분석이 없이는, 요한복음 전체의 구조를 제대로 파악할 수 없다. 특히 요한복음의 상반된 두 가지 단락, 즉 전반부에 나타나는 예수의 표적에 대한기사와 후반부에 나타난 예수의 고별 담화(farewell discourse) 및 수난 이야기(passion narrative)의 관계에 대한 설명이 어렵다. 그러므로 본 연구는 요한복음 11-12장에 나타난 문학기법을 밝힘과 동시에 요한복음 전체 구조 안에서연계부로서의 그 기능을 증명코자 하는 데 있다
Abstract
There are various viewpoints on the study on the structure of the Gospel of John. In general, the Gospel of John is widely divided into three parts, such as the Prologue, the Body and the epilogue. One of the debatable issues is the division of the body. Most scholars consider 1:19-20:31 as the body and divide it into two sections. They name John 1-12 as ‘Book of Signs’ and John 13-20 as ‘Book of Glory’ or ‘Book of suffers’. However, D. A. Carson criticizes such opinions because there are no stories of suffering of Jesus before Chapter 18 and there are many implications about His sufferings in John 1-12. The complex chiastic structure based on dual mode has recently suggested as a new structure of the Gospel of John. In particular, John 11 and 12 are regarded as one section which are unified two stories, viz. story of signs and story of suffering. Thus the understanding the structure of these chapters gives us a key to understanding of the whole structure of the Gospel of John. Therefore,this paper focuses on describing the literary figures and pointing out their functions of John 11-12.
