본 연구에서는 외부 경영 환경이 품질경영 활동과 성과에 어떠한 영향을 미칠 것인가를 실증분석 하였다. 환경의 불확실성은 기업에 있어 위협 요소가 되기도 하지만 기회 요소가 될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있으며, 공학적 품질경영 활동에 치우친 품질경영 활동은 정량적 성과의 향상에는 직접적으로 기여할 수 있지만 품질경영 활동 간의 비균형성으로 인하여 조직구조 개편이나 보상 시스템, 종업원 훈련 프로그램과 같은 관리적 품질경영 활동의 위축과 이를 통하여 정성적 성과의 악화로 이어질 수 있음을 보인다. 또한 품질성과의 향상을 통한 경영성과의 실현이 유의하게 나타나 품질성과의 품질경영 활동과 경영성과의 매개효과가 파악되었다.
Abstract
This paper addresses the effect of environment uncertainty on quality management efforts and business performance. Empirical research shows that environment uncertainty is to be a threat and opportunity to company. Engineering quality efforts and managerial quality efforts must keep balance to balanced business performance. Also it shows that quality performance mediates quality management efforts and business performance.
