Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the direction of sports culture in the Fourth Industrial Revolution by analyzing FGI and FGD results to predict and respond to future trends. The findings reveal five key aspects. First, convergence: AI and advanced technologies enhance efficiency and fairness in game analysis, referee decisions, and athlete training. Second, inclusivity: Emphasizes diversity and equality across gender, age, and ability, requiring new sports formats and cultural acceptance. Third, orientation: A shift from competition-based sports to health and wellness-focused activities, expanding sports' welfare role in an aging society. Fourth, commerciality: Big data and digital technology innovate sports consumption, driving personalized content and education market growth. Fifth, sustainability: ESG management is promoting an eco-friendly and fair sports culture. FGD results further highlight concerns over human alienation and transformations in the essence of sports due to AI. Ethical considerations and data privacy are critical for sustainable sports culture. Discussions on the ontological value of sports call for a balance between technology and human-centered philosophy. Media and virtual reality advancements accelerate globalization by breaking geographical barriers. Lastly, the aesthetic value of sports gains attention, with technology-art integration shaping a new sports culture. These findings serve as a foundation for strategies addressing environmental changes and fostering positive developments in sports.
