인성교육 전문인력 양성연수 경험 교사의 인성교육 전문성 수준과 관련 요인 연구

본 연구는 인성교육 전문인력 양성 연수를 경험한 교사들의 인성교육 전문성 수준과 관련 요인을 파악하고자 수행되었다. 인성교육진흥법 시행 후 2016년부터 실시된 연수가 교사들의 전문성에 미친 영향을 조사한 결과, 응답자들은 학교 인성교육이 강화되어야 하며(95.4%), 인성교육이 교과활동과 구분되지 않고 일상 교육 활동에서 자연스럽게 이루어져야 한다고 인식했다(81.2%). 학교 인성교육의 효과를 결정하는 핵심 요소로는 '가정과의 연계'가, 장애요인으로는 '학생 및 학부모의 지지 부족'이 가장 높게 나타났다. 인성교육 전문인력 양성 연수 경험에서는 '인성교육자로서의 신념과 가치 재인식'이 가장 도움이 되었다고 응답했다. 인성교육 전문성 측정 결과, 전체 평균은 4.41점(5점 만점)으로 높게 나타났으며, 특히 교육적 관계 및 의사소통 능력(4.55점)이 가장 높았다. 교사의 인성교육 전문성에 영향을 미치는 변인으로는 ‘연수 내용의 현장 적용도’와 ‘전문성 향상 인식도’로 나타났다. 본 연구는 단일 대학에서 연수를 경험한 550명을 모집단으로 하였다는 한계가 있으나 인성교육 전문인력 양성과정 연수의 의미와 교사의 인성교육 전문성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하고, 교사 연수 프로그램 활성화의 필요성을 제시했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of the current study is to understand the level of character education expertise of teachers and related factors. The survey was conducted to reveal the impact of the character education specialists training program, implemented after 2016 when the Character Education Promotion Act was enacted. The results show that respondents believed that character education in schools should be strengthened (95.4%) and that character education should be integrated into daily educational activities rather than being separated from academic subjects (81.2%). The key factor determining the effectiveness of school character education was the 'linkage with families,' while the main obstacle was the 'lack of support from students and parents.' Regarding the training program itself, the respondents reported that the program was helpful for them to 'reaffirm their beliefs and values as character educators'. The results of the character education expertise measurement showed a high overall average of 4.41 points (out of 5), while the 'educational relationships and communication skills' (4.55 points) scored the highest. The variables influencing teachers' character education expertise were 'the applicability of training content to the field' and 'the perception of improved expertise.' Although the sample includes 550 participants trained at a single university, the current study contributes to understanding the meaning of a training program for character education specialists, verifying the factors influencing character education expertise, and highlighting the necessity of activating teacher training programs.
