본 논문의 주제는 공공 영역과 공론장에서 복음주의 신학과 교회의 역할과 기능에 대한 대안을 모색하고자 하는데 있다. 오늘 복음주의는 정체성의 위기와 비전 상실을 경험하고 있다. 이러한 경험의 원인을 우리는 ‘공공성 상실’과 ‘기독교 지성의 부재’로 이해한다. 이러한 이해 속에서 현대 공공신학자들의 논의를 통해 공론장에서 한국 교회가 어떻게 기독교적 대안을 제시 할 수 있는지, 공공선을 위해 어떤 역할을 수행할 수 있는지 그 가능성을 살펴보고자 한다. 이것을 위해 우리는 몇 가지 주제들을 비판적으로 검토할 것이다. 우선, 복음주의란 무엇인지, 그 정체성에 대한 정의를 내려보고, 복음주의와 종교개혁의 관계를 살펴보고자 한다. 그리고 현대 복음주의자들이 제기했던 신학적 문제, 특히 공공성 상실에 대한 비판과 기독교적 공공 지성의 부재에 대한 비판을 알아보고 복음주의 신학을 공공 신학적 관점에서 파악할 것이다. 복음주의가 제기한 공공 신학적 문제를 오늘의 관점에서 재해석하기 위해 우리는 현대 공공신학자 두 명, 스택하우스와 하우어워스(Stanley Hauerwas)의 신학을 검토할 것이다. 이러한 역사적, 신학적 검토를 마무리한 후 한국 복음주의 신학과 복음주의 교회를 위한 몇 가지 제안을 제시하고자 한다. 이곳에서 제시한 대안은 세 가지 제시하였다: 1) 기독교적 공공 지성을 양성 2) 잃어버린 언어의 회복 3) 그리고 현대 공공 신학 방법론적 차이의 조화 가능성
Abstract
The theme of this thesis is to try to explore alternative gospel theology, the role and function of the church in public areas and public forums. Today's gospel experiences a crisis of identity and loss of vision. We understand the cause of such experience as 'loss of publicity' and 'absence of Christian intelligence'. Among these understandings, through discussion by contemporary public theologians, how the churches of Korea can present Christian alternatives in public forums, what role do they have for public good? I want to see if it can do or not. Because of this, we critically consider several topics. First of all, let's examine the relationship between the gospel and religious reform by defining the identity of what the gospel is. Then criticism of theological problems raised by contemporary evangelists, especially criticism of the loss of public nature and lack of Christian public intelligence will be examined and gospel theology grasped from the public theological viewpoint. In order to reinterpret the public theological issue raised by the gospel from today's point of view, we will review the theology of two modern public theologians, Stackhouse and Hauerwas (Stanley Hauerwas). After completing these historical and theological studies, I will try to present some proposals for the Korean evangelical theology evangelical church. The options presented here presented three: 1) Training Christian public intelligence 2) Recovery of lost languages 3) And the possibility of harmonization of differences in modern public theology methodology
