『총쇄록(叢瑣錄)』자료 해제 및 교육적 가치

구한말의 관원 오횡묵(吳宖默)은 여러 지역의 수령으로 재임하면서 일기『총쇄록(叢錄)』을 남겼다. 이 자료가 교육사 연구에 널리 활용되고, 이러한 성격의 자료에 대한 교육학 연구자들의 관심과 연구를 촉구하는 의미에서 자료를 해제하고『총쇄록』의 교육적 가치를 소개하였다.『고성총쇄록』을 예시적으로 살펴본 결과 수령이 수행한 다양한 교육행정 활동을 확인하였고, 특히 관(官) 주도의 순제(巡題)와 강회(講會) 활동이 체계적으로 이루어졌음을 알 수 있었다.『총쇄록』은 각 지역에서 실제로 이루어진 교육 및 교육행정 활동을 파악할 수 있고, 지역 단위로 교육활동에 접근할 필요성을 제기하며, 구한말 지방교육의 실태를 보여준다는 점에서 시기적으로도 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 조선시대 교육 및 교육행정 연구에『총쇄록』외에도 다양한 일기 자료를 적극 활용하고 지속적으로 발굴할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
OhHoengMuk(吳宖墨) had been in office as a local official in many towns and left his staff diary named『ChongSwaeRok(叢瑣錄)』 in the latter period of Chosun Dynasty. The researcher did a bibligraphical explanation on the data and introduced the educational value of it in order to make the data used extensively in the area of educational history. In addition, this study is expected to stimulate the interests of educational researchers and their studies on these kinds of data. As a result of sample study on『GoSeongChongSwaeRok(固城叢瑣錄)』, the study was able to verify various educational administration activities executed by local official. Especially SunJe(巡製) and GangHoe(講會) was initiated by government systematically. 『ChongSwaeRok(叢瑣錄)』 has an important meaning by showing the real education and educational administration activities at each town. Moreover it presents the necessity to access the educational activities in each town and the historical significance to show the reality of local education in the latter period of Chosun Dynasty. In studying education and educational administration in Chosun Dynasty, it is positively needed to make use of and find out different kinds of diaries besides 『ChongSwaeRok(叢瑣錄)』.
