지역사회 중독개입기관의 클라이언트 폭력과 종사자의 건강 : 기관과 개인의 대응을 중심으로

초록

본 연구의 목적은 클라이언트 폭력이 중독관리통합지원센터(이하 중독센터) 종사자의 건강에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 기관(폭력대응체계)과 개인(대처전략)의 대응이 어떠한 역할을 하는지 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 전국의 중독센터 종사자(50개소 259명)를 대상으로 우편설문에 의한 전수조사를 실시하였고, 165명으로부터 설문지를 회수하였다(회 수율 63%). 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 조절효과 및 매개효과 검증을 실시하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 클라이언트 폭력경험이 많을수록 종사자의 건강에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 기관의 폭력대응체계는 클라이언트 폭력과 종사자 건강 간의 관계에서 조절효과를 나타내지 않았다. 셋째, 클라이언트 폭력은 사회적지 지추구의 대처를 통해 종사자의 건강에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 매개효과가 확인 되었다. 연구결과를 토대로 지역사회 중독개입기관에서 클라이언트 폭력에 대한 민감성 제고, 폭력예방을 위한 기관 및 개인수준의 대응전략 수립을 위한 방안을 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of client violence on practitioners’ health at the Community Addiction Management Centers focusing on the response of agency and individual. The subjects of this study were 159 practitioners at nationwide agencies. Hierarchical regression analysis for the effect of the moderators(agency’s response system for violence) and mediators(individual’s coping strategy) were used. The results of the study are as follows. First, client violence experience led to negative effects on practitioner’s health. Second, agency’s violence response system didn’t show moderating effect. Lastly, it was evident that social support seeking showed a partial mediating effects on the relationship between client violence and practitioner’s health. On the basis of the results from the study, further suggestions to prevent client violence at the community addiction management centers were discussed.
