사회복지사의 외상경험과 음주행위 관계에 미치는 사회적 지지, 자아탄력성의 조절효과

초록

본 연구의 목적은 대인서비스전문직인 사회복지사들의 외상경험실태를 살펴보고 외상경험이 음주행위에 미치는 영향에 대한 사회적지지, 자아탄력성의 조절효과를 검증하는 것이다. 정신보건, 노인, 아동, 장애인, 지역사회복지 영역 등에 근무 중인 사회복지사 총 703명을 대상으로 조절회귀식을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 남성, 사회복지사의 개인외상 경험이 많을수록, 사회적 지지가 낮을수록, 자아탄력성이 낮을수록, 직무외상경험이 많을수록 음주행위수준이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 개인외상경험과 음주행위 사이에 사회적 지지의 조절효과가 유의미하게 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과들을 토대로 사회복지사들의 외상문제에 대한 전문적 교육훈련의 필요성과 사회적 지지 증진 방안을 제언하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between trauma and drinking behavior among social workers, to explore the moderating effects of social support, ego-resiliency on those relationship and to suggest practical implications for social worker. Data for this study were collected through the use of a survey instrument completed by 703 social workers from mental health area, community welfare, elderly and child welfare area. Collected data were analysed by moderated multiple regression. The findings of this study were as follows: First, more personal trauma experiences, lower social support and ego-resiliency, higher occupational trauma were significantly impacted on the drinking behavior. Second, the social support had moderating effect on the relationship between personal trauma and drinking behavior. Based on these findings, the research discussion reinforced the importance of trauma focused training and implications for social work practitioners, supervisors, and educators were discussed.
