대학생이 지각한 부모의 음주, 음주기대와 문제음주에 대한 연구 -자존감과 우울의 매개효과를 중심으로-

초록

본 연구는 대학생이 지각한 부모의 음주, 음주기대, 자존감 및 우울과 문제음주와의 관계를 파악해보고 자존감 및 우울이 문제음주에 미치는 영향에 대한 자존감과 우울의 매개효과를 분석해보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울, 경기, 충청지역 대학생 230명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하였다. 자료분석은 기술통계, 상관관계, 중다회귀분석을 이용하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 대학생의 자존감이 보통수준보다 높게 나타났으며 음주관련변인 중에서 음주에 대한 긍정적 기대가 가장 높게 나타나 음주에 대한 기대가 긍정적인 경향을 보여주었다. 우울은 보통수준보다는 낮게 나타났으며, 문제음주는 가장 낮은 점수를 보였다. 둘째, 부모의 음주와 대학생의 문제음주와 유의미한 정적 상관이 나타났으며, 음주에 대한 긍정적 기대와 부정적 기대는 높은 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 자존감은 문제음주와 유의미한 부적 상관이, 우울은 문제음주와 유의한 정적 상관이 나타났다. 셋째, 부모의 음주만이 매개변인인 자존감에 유의한 영향을 미치고, 부모의 음주, 음주에 대한 긍정적 기대, 음주에 대한 부정적 기대가 종속변인인 문제음주에 유의한 영향을 나타내었다. 마지막 3단계에서는 매개변인인 자존감과 독립변인인 부모의 음주, 음주에 대한 긍정적 기대, 음주에 대한 부정적 기대가 문제음주에 미치는 영향이 유의하게 나타났다. 넷째, 음주에 대한 긍정적 기대만이 매개변인인 우울에 유의한 영향을 미치고, 부모의 음주, 음주에 대한 긍정적 기대, 음주에 대한 부정적 기대가 종속변인인 문제음주에 유의한 영향을 나타내었다. 마지막 3단계에서는 매개변인인 우울과 독립변인인 부모의 음주, 음주에 대한 긍정적 기대, 음주에 대한 부정적 기대가 문제음주에 미치는 영향이 유의하게 나타났다. 결과적으로 부모의 음주, 음주에 대한 기대와 문제음주사이에서 자존감과 우울의 매개효과가 나타났다. 따라서 대학생의 문제음주를 감소시키기 위해서 부모의 음주와 음주에 대한 기대에 대한 개입뿐만 아니라 이들의 자존감향상과 우울감소에 대한 노력이 기울여져야 하겠다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to uncover the relationships and correlations between parents’ alcohol use, university students’ alcohol expectancy, and alcohol use disorder. The sample comprised 230 university students. The data was analyzed by means of frequency, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple regression analysis, using the PASW. The major findings were as follows: parents’ alcohol use was positively correlated with university students’ positive alcohol expectancy, negative alcohol expectancy, and alcohol use disorder. Additionally, self-esteem was negatively correlated with depression and alcohol use disorder. Second, parents’ alcohol use, university students’ positive alcohol expectancy, negative alcohol expectancy, and self-esteem had a positive influence upon alcohol use disorder. Self-esteem had a mediating effect upon parents’ alcohol use, alcohol expectancy, and alcohol use disorder. Third, parents’ alcohol use, depression, positive alcohol expectancy, and negative alcohol expectancy had a positive influence upon alcohol use disorder. Depression had a mediating effect upon parents’ alcohol use, alcohol expectancy, and alcohol use disorder. In conclusion, in order to reduce parents’ alcohol use and university students’ alcohol expectancy, it is important to intervene in university students’ alcohol use disorder through special education programs and counseling.
