한국판 관계적 수치심 척도(KISI)의 타당화

초록

본 연구는 관계적 수치심과 두 하위 개념인 외적 수치심과 가족적 수치심을 소개하고 이를 측정하는 척도인 한국판 관계적 수치심 척도(Korean version of Interpersonal Shame Inventory: KISI)를 타당화하고자 하였다. 230개의 표본으로 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 외적 수치심과 가족적 수치심의 2요인이 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 새로운 211개의 표본으로 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 1요인 모형은 수용가능하지 않은 모형 적합도를 보인 반면, 2요인 모형은 수용 가능한 좋은 모형 적합도를 나타내었다. 다음으로, 확인적 요인분석의 표본으로 타당도 검증을 실시하였다. 그 결과, KISI는 수렴, 변별, 준거 관련, 그리고 증분 타당도를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 관계적 수치심은 우울에 대하여 내적 수치심의 효과를 통제한 후에도 유의미한 추가적 설명량을 제공하여, 관계적 수치심과 내적 수치심이 구분되는 것으로 나타났다. 종합적으로 고려할 때 KISI는 신뢰할 수 있으며 타당한 척도라는 것이 드러났다. 마지막으로, 연구의 제한점 및 의의를 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study introduced interpersonal shame and its subtype-external shame and family shame, translated and validated Korean version of Interpersonal Shame Inventory(KISI). An exploratory factor analysis with 230 samples showed 2-factor structure-external shame and family shame was appropriate. A confirmatory factor analysis with other 211 samples showed 2-factor structure revealed good and acceptable model fit while 1-factor showed unacceptable model fit. Next, validation test was administered with the 211 samples. The result unveiled that KISI had appropriate convergent, discriminant, criterion-related, and incremental validity. Especially, Interpersonal shame provided significant additional even when the effect of depression was controlled, showing it as distinct from Internal shame. Ultimately, KISI is considered as reliable measurement with proven good validity. In the last part, limitations and implications were discussed.
