학교상담자의 심리적 임파워먼트 척도 개발 및 타당화

본 연구의 목적은 심리적 임파워먼트의 개념과 구성요소를 탐색하여 학교상담자를 위한 척도를 개발하고 타당화하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 임파워먼트에 관한 다양한 분야의 선행연구와 측정도구를 분석하고, 학교상담자 대상 개방형 설문 결과를 토대로 예비척도를 개발하였으며, 개발한 척도에 대하여 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였다. 연구과정에서 개방형 설문, 예비조사, 타당화를 위한 조사에 각각 43명, 302명, 300명의 전문상담교사, 전문상담사, 진로전담교사를 포함한 학교상담자들이 참여하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교상담자 심리적 임파워먼트 척도는 개인 내적, 관계적, 행동적 영역을 포함한 6요인(구성원과의 신뢰관계, 전문성, 연계 및 참여활동, 직업정체성, 직무영향력, 성과에 대한 낙관적 기대) 18개 문항으로 구성되었다. 둘째, 내적일관성 신뢰도 Cronbach's α는 .916으로 검사도구로 양호하였으며, 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석, 모델수정 과정을 통해 양호한 모델적합도(NFI .933, TLI .965, CFI .972, RMSEA .044)를 확인하였다. 셋째, 수렴타당도와 변별타당도를 확인하고, 학교상담자의 소진, 자기돌봄, 직무만족, 직무몰입 및 자기옹호와 상관관계 검증을 통해 양호한 준거타당도를 확인하였다. 연구결과를 토대로 학교상담자의 심리적 임파워먼트 척도를 상담자 교육 및 옹호에 활용할 수 있는 방안과 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate a Psychological Empowerment Scale for School Counselor by exploring the concepts and components psychological empowerment. For this purpose, the literatures on empowerment, precedent scales and open-ended self-report questionnaires were reviewed and analyzed. And a content validation test by experts, a pilot test and a validation test were conducted. The participants were 43 school counselors in open-ended questionnaire research, 302 school counselors in a pilot test and 300 in a validation test. The research results are as follows; First, the Psychological Empowerment Scale consists 18 items including 6 sub-scales(trust relationship with school members, competence, association & participation, professional identity, job impact, optimism for job performance), each sub-scale consists of 3 items. Second, the internal consistency reliability Cronbach’s α was .916, which was good as a scale, and the results of exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and model modification process showed that the Psychological Empowerment Scale was acceptable and the model fit well(NFI .933, TLI .965, RMSEA .044). Third, convergent validity and discriminant validity were confirmed, and good criterion validity was identified by verifying the correlation with exhaustion, self-care, job satisfaction, job commitment and self-advocacy of school counselors. Based on the results, measures and implications of using the psychological empowerment scale for school counselors for counseling education and advocacy were discussed.
