본 연구의 목적은 초심상담수련생이 인식하는 사례개념화 어려움 경험에 대해 알아보고, 초심상담수련생들을 유형화함으로써 유형별 특징을 분석하고 이해하고자 하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 Q방법론을 활용하여 다음과 같이 연구를 진행하였다. 555개의 Q모집단을 구성하여 52개의 진술문으로 최종 Q표본을 확정한 후 초심상담수련생 21명을 P표본으로 선정하여 Q분류를 실시하고, PQMethod 2.35 프로그램을 사용하여 요인분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, ‘대안적 가설 수립 곤란형’, ‘내담자 정보 통합 혼란형’, ‘효율적 능력 부족형’, ‘자기효능감 부족형’, ‘적용 및 실천 혼란형’의 다섯 가지 유형으로 유형화되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 초심상담수련생의 사례개념화 어려움 경험에 대해 논의하고 의의와 후속 연구를 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore novice counseling trainees’ perceived difficulties in case conceptualization and to identify typologies and their characteristics. Using Q methodology, the study was conducted as follows: A Q-population of 555 statements was constructed and refined into 52 statements as the final Q-sample. Twenty-one novice counseling trainees were selected as the P-sample to perform Q-sorting, and factor analysis was conducted using PQMethod 2.35 software. The results identified five types: ‘Difficulty in Establishing Alternative Hypotheses Type,’ ‘Confusion in Integrating Client Information Type,’ ‘Lack of Efficient Ability Type,’ ‘Low Self-Efficacy Type,’ and ‘Confusion in Application and Practice Type.’ Based on these findings, the study discussed novice counseling trainees’ experiences of difficulties in case conceptualization and presented the significance of the study and suggestions for future research.
