본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 자녀의 학교 적응 간의 관계에 대한 그릿과 학업 스트레스의 매개 효과를 살펴보는 것이다. 연구 표본은 한국 아동 패널 13차 연구(PSKC)에 참여한 초등학교 6학년 1,359명이다. 자료는 SPSS 27.0으로 Pearson의 상관관계와 회귀분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자녀의 학교 적응은 자녀의 그릿과 정적상관이 유의하였다. 둘째, 자녀의 학교 적응은 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 자녀의 학업 스트레스와 부적상관이 유의하였다. 셋째, 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 학교 적응 간의 관계에 대해서는 그릿이 부분 매개하였다. 넷째, 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 학교 적응 간의 관계에 대해서는 학업 스트레스가 부분 매개하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 향후 자녀의 학교 적응을 촉진하기 위한 연구와 실천에 중요한 기여를 할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of Grit and academic stress on the relationship between mother-rearing stress and child’s school adaptation. The study sample was 1,359 elementary school sixth graders who participated in the 13th wave of the Panel Study on Korean Children(PSKC). The data were analyzed with SPSS 27.0 using Pearson’s correlation and regression analysis. The results are as follows. First, child’s school adaptation were positively and significantly correlated with child’s Grit. Second, child’s school adaptation were negatively and significantly correlated with mother-rearing stress and child’s academic stress. Third, Grit was partially mediated on the relationship between mother-rearing stress and school adaptation. Fourth, academic stress was partially mediated on the relationship between mother-rearing stress and school adaptation. These findings can serve as an important contribution to future research and practices for facilitating child’s school adaptation.
