철학상담 방법론에 대한 고찰:철학상담 방법의 구조화를 중심으로

철학상담의 독자성은 그 발생동인에서 철학 그 자체로부터라기보다는인접분야인 심리상담과의 관계 속에서 해명될 수밖에 없다. 따라서 이글은 심리상담과의 비교를 통해서 철학상담의 정체성, 차별성, 그리고전문성을 규명하고 이를 토대로 철학상담의 구조화 가능성과 당위성을설파하고 상담의 구조화 방법을 제시하기 위해 의도된 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 2장에서는 철학상담이 심리상담의 한 종류이거나 심리상담에서나온 것이 아니라 고대 그리스 시대 이래로 오늘날에 이르기까지 ‘마음의치유’ 또는 ‘영혼의 치유’로서의 철학의 실천적 활동의 회복임을 논하였다. 3장에서는 철학상담의 정체성과 그와 관련된 방법론 문제를 해명하기 위해 각 철학상담가들의 상반된 입장을 대결시키면서 현시점까지 전개된 논의를 정리, 분석, 평가하고 철학상담 방법의 구조화의 당위성과필요성 그리고 효과성을 보여주었다. 4장에서는 철학상담 방법의 구조화방법을 논하기 위해 철학상담의 정의의 문제를 탐색하고, 이에 기반한철학상담의 고유한 기법의 발견가능성을 보여주고, 그 사례들을 제시했다. 끝으로 지금까지 전개된 철학상담방법론에 대한 두 가지 논의, 즉방법 초월적 방법과 특정한 방법론이 내담자의 사안에 따라 각각 적용될수 있다는 점에서 양립가능하다는 것을 보여주었다. 즉 상담과정의 디테일한 부분은 아헨바흐의 방법 초월적 방법을, 상담의 큰 틀에서는 라베의 방법, 매리노프의 방법, 배커의 방법 등 정형화된 방법을 적용하는것이 효과적이라는 것이다.
Abstract
The identity of philosophical counseling cannot help explaining in the relation with psychological counseling in the aspect of cause of occurrence. Then this paper intends to assert the possibility and the oughtness of structuring for philosophical counseling and suggest the methode of structuring for counseling, revealing an identity, difference and professionalism of philosophical counseling by a comparison with psychological counseling. In chapter 2, I will argue that philosophical counseling do not come from psychological counseling, but is, from the time of the ancient Greeks to this day, the recuperation of practical activity of philosophy as a therapy of mind or spirit. Chapter 3 focuses on the oughtness, necessity and effectiveness of philosophical counseling method, comparing 'beyond-method' method to specific method in order to explore the problem of the identity and methodology of philosophical counseling. In chapter 4, in order to argue the structuring method for philosophical counseling, I investigate the problem of the definition of philosophical counseling, demonstrate the possibility of discovery of proper methods of philosophical counseling and show their examples. Finally, I suggest that specific method and 'beyond-method' method can be permissible in the way that two methods can be applied respectively according to the character of the problem which a client has. In other words, 'beyond-method' method is effective in the detailed situation of counseling process, while specific method, such as Raabe's method, Marinoff' method, Bakker's method, and so on is effective in the framework.
