『조선어독본』의 ‘혹부리 영감’ 설화와 근대 아동문학의 영향 관계 고찰

Abstract

This study studies influence relation between our modern children's literature and the fairy-tale of ‘a geezer with a lump on his cheek’ which is included in 『The language reading book of the Joseon Dynasty』. First, this study denies the theory that the fairy-tale of ‘a geezer with a lump on his cheek’ was flowed in from Japan and was spread into Korea. Comparing each fairy-tale of ‘a geezer with a lump on his cheek’ of Japan and Korea, it presents the possibility of our own fairy-tale of ‘a geezer with a lump on his cheek’ by analyzing their texts. First, it finds a quite distinctive element, namely, ‘dance(Japan) : song(Korea)’. Second, it finds that Dokkaebi(Korean goblin) and Oni(Japanese goblin) have a fairly conflicting attitude for human. The language reading book of the Joseon Dynastyof the fourth Joseon educational law period(1933~1935), it finds quite minute facts such as ‘the fact that a pretty voice was come out from a lump was said not by a geezer, but by a dokkaebi.’ And ‘as the songs which were sung by the geezer, sijoes (*sijo : traditional three-verse Korean poem) or children's songs were included in them’, and so on. From these minute facts, it discusses the possibility that Bang Jung Hwan's「a pocket of songs」had an effect on the fairy tale. Finally, this study examines how the fairy tales such as ‘a geezer with a lump on his cheek’ and ‘a pocket of songs’ have been handed down to our children's literature. Looking aspects which our Children's literature had accepted ‘a geezer with a lump on his cheek’ since 1960's, it finds that Lee Won Soo's a pocket of songs had a great influence on our children's literature and Japanese's ‘a geezer with a lump on his cheek’ had penetrated our children's literature.
