이 글에서는 다문화 청소년소설에 표상된 다문화인의 정체성을 그들이 경험하는 신원 상실에서 오는 정체성 혼란, 예외 상태에 놓인 존재성 인식, 벌거벗은 생명으로서 주권 상실 등을 통해 살펴보았다. 이를 위해, 다문화 청소년소설인 손홍규의 『이슬람 정육점』, 진형민의 「자물쇠를 채우지 않는 날」, 「람부탄」 등을 대상 작품으로 하였다. 이러한 논의를 통해, 이 글은 다문화 청소년소설에 표상된 다문화인의 정체성 혼란과 상실, 생명 주권의 상실에 따른 예외적 존재성을 밝힐 수 있었다. 이런 논의를 위해, 이 글에서는 정체성을 자기 동일적 자아가 아닌 공유적 자아에 초점을 두어 살펴보았다.
Abstract
In this article, the identity of multicultural people represented in multicultural youth novels was examined through identity confusion resulting from the loss of identity they experience, recognition of existence in an exceptional state, and loss of sovereignty as a naked life. To this end, the target works were Son Hong-gyu's "The Butcher of Islam", Jin Hyung-min's "Day Without Locking", and "Rambutan". Through this discussion, this article was able to reveal the exceptional existence of multicultural people due to the confusion and loss of identity and loss of life sovereignty represented in multicultural youth novels. For this discussion, in this article, identity was examined by focusing on the shared self, not the self-identical self.
