한국어교육에서의 어미 제시순서에 대한 연구

이 글에서는 한국어 문법교육의 핵심적 부분이라 할 수 있는 어미의 제시 순서에 대해 알아보았다. 2002년 조성된 국립국어연구원의 자료를 중심으로, 여기에 구어자료를 보충하여 실제 쓰이는 어미의 빈도수를 파악하여 보고, 한국어교육에서 어미를 제시할 때 어떤 순서로 제시함이 효율적인가에 대한 논의를 하였는데, 그 기준으로 삼은 것은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사용빈도수를 고려해야 한다. 둘째, 활용도가 높은 것부터 제시해야 한다. 셋째, 제약이 적은 것에서 제약이 많은 것으로 제시해 나간다. 넷째, 중심적인 의미기능을 가진 것부터 주변적 의미기능을 가진 것으로 제시해 나간다. 다섯째, 문법형태소를 분석적으로 나누지 않고 종합적으로 살피는 것이 바람직하다. 여섯째, 구어와 문어의 비중을 적절히 고려해야 한다는 점을 들었다.
Abstract
This paper is concerned with discussing the presenting sequence of suffix, which is a critical part in Korean grammar education, after studying the status and objective of grammar education in native language education for the Koreans and in Korean language education for foreigners. Although the native language education and the Korean language education differ in their respective objectives and targets, they need to be complementary because they are based on the same language. Particularly, unlike in the native language education in which grammatical elements are exposed to excessively strict grammatical analysis, it is desirable for the Korean language education for foreigners to take more comprehensive and integral attitudes. The suffix system also, which is analytically studied in the native language education, should better be approached integrally in the Korean language education, while maintaining its fundamental frames. Therefore, the ending is divided into pre-sentence suffix, sentence suffix, conjunctive suffix, nominalizer suffix, and adnominal suffix. This paper, based on the quantitative analyses of the literary data and of the colloquial data, investigated the suffix frequency and discussed the presenting sequence of suffix in the Korean language education. The criteria used here include: (1) from the highest usage frequency, (2) from the highest utility, (3) from those less restricted by syntactical and morphological constraints, and (4) from those having central, implicative function. The last criterion considered here was that a proper attention should be paid to the weights of the spoken and the written languages
