무용전공 대학생들의 자기애적 성격과 무용정서표현성 간의 관계

본 연구는 무용전공 대학생들의 자기애적 성격과 무용정서표현성 간의 관련성을 파악하고, 구체적으로 자기애적 성격특성이 무용정서표현성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 검증하고자 두 가지 연구문제를 설정하여 분석하였다. 이를 위해 서울시에 소재하고 있는 4년제 대학 이상에 재학중인 무용전공자 242명을 선정하여 이들을 대상으로 Raskin과 Hall, 그리고 Emmons에 의해 개발된 자기애적 성격검사(NPI) 37문항과, 박현정(2009)이 개발한 무용정서표현성 23문항의 검사를 실시하였다. Pearson의 상관계수를 도출하고 단순회귀분석을 실시하여 두 변인간의 관련성을 검증한 결과, 자기애적 성격과 무용정서표현성의 모든 하위변인에서 통계적인 유의도가 발견되어, 두 변인간의 높은 관련성을 입증해주었다. 또한 자기애적 성격의 하위변인이 무용정서표현성에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석한 결과, 자기애적 성격의 네 가지 요인 중 우월성 및 당당함과 자기몰입 및 자기칭찬 요인이 무용정서표현성에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났고, 그 중 우월성 및 거만 요인은 무용정서표현성의 5가지 하위요인인 동작의 의미성, 개성, 연기력, 표현충동, 동작성에 모두 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 자기애가 강한 무용수들이 무대에서 자신의 정서를 외적으로 잘 표현해 낼 수 있다는 결론을 얻을 수 있으며, 특히 자신에 대한 우월성이 강할수록 또한 자신과 춤에 대한 몰입도가 높을수록 춤을 잘 출 수 있는 정서표현성이 높음을 확인할 수 있다.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to assess the relationship between narcissistic personality and dance emotional expressiveness of students majoring in dancing and in detail to prove the impact of narcissistic personality features on dance emotional expressiveness. To that end, the following two sub-themes are set as follow; first, relationship between narcissistic personality and dance emotional expressiveness of students majoring in dancing and secondly, the impact of narcissistic personality features on dance emotional expressiveness. As for selected 242 university students majoring in dancing in Seoul, 37 questions of narcissistic personality inventory(NPI) and 23 questions of dance emotional expressiveness test(DEET) are made. The Pearson’s correlation coefficient is calculated and simple regression analysis is conducted to prove the relationship with two factors. As a result, the high relativity is found in all sub-variables of narcissistic personality and dance emotional expressiveness so that prove high relevancy between two factors. The analysis of the impact of sub-variables of narcissistic personality on the narcissistic personality shows that superiority, arrogance, self-indulgency and self-praise have exercised impacts on all five sub-variables of dance emotional expressiveness such as movement meaning, individuality, acting ability, expressive impulse and movement disposition. In conclusion, dancers with narcissistic personality are able to well express their sentiment externally on stages and high concentration level to themselves and dancing result in better expression of sentiments, illustrated by dancing.
