무용전공 대학생의 성격특성과 자신감 및 무용성취감의 관계

이 연구는 무용전공 대학생의 성격특성이 자신감과 무용성취감에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위해 유의표집(purposive sampling) 방법을 이용하여 표본을 수집하였다. 이러한 표집방법을 통해 무용학과가 있는 서울특별시 대학교 1개, 경기도 대학교 1개, 경상남도 대학교 1개 등 3개 지역에 소재한 총 3개의 대학교를 임의 선정하여 무용전공 대학생을 300명을 표집하였으며, 자료 분석에 최종적으로 이용된 인원은 206명이었다. 조사도구는 설문지를 사용하였으며, 수집된 자료는 일원변량분석, 상관분석, 중다회귀분석을 이용한 경로분석을 통하여 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 무용전공 대학생의 성격특성이 자신감에 미치는 영향을 살펴 본 결과 외향성, 개방성, 성실성, 친화성은 사회적지지에 유의한 정적영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 무용전공 대학생의 성격특성이 무용성취감에 미치는 영향을 살펴 본 결과 개방성과 성실성이 높을수록 이해능력성취가 높고, 외향성, 개방성, 성실성이 높을수록 실기능력성취가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 외향성과 성실성이 높을수록 상대적 능력성취 또한 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 친화성이 높을수록 실기능력성취에 부적영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 신경증이 높을수록 상대적 능력성취가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 무용전공 대학생의 자신감이 무용성취감에 미치는 영향을 살펴 본 결과 능력자신감이 높을수록 이해능력성취가 높고, 사회적지지 자신감이 높을수록 실기능력성취감과 상대적 능력성취감이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 무용전공 대학생의 성격특성과 자신감 및 무용성취감 간에는 인과적 관계가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate influences of personality trait of university dance majors on self-confidence and dance achievement, and, for that, samples were collected by purposive sampling. 300 university dance majors sampled from whole three universities with dance department in three areas; each university from Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Gyeongsangnam-do, and, 206 samples were analysed, finally. Questionnaires were used as survey instrument, and collected materials were analysed by correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and path analysis with multiple regression. Through that process, study results were as follows. First, according to results of analysis on influence of personality trait of university dance majors on self-confidence, the higher extroversion and conscientiousness were, the higher teaching and ability confidence were. Second, according to results of analysis on influence of personality trait of university dance majors on dance achievement, the higher conscientiousness was, the higher achievement of understanding ability was, and, the higher affinity was, the lower achievement of understanding ability was, and, the higher extroversion, openness, and conscientiousness were, the lower achievement of performance ability was. And, the higher extroversion and conscientiousness were, the higher relative ability achievement was, and, the higher neurosis was, the lower relative ability achievement was. Third, according to results of analysis on influence of self-confidence of university dance majors on dance achievement, the higher ability confidence was, the higher achievement of understanding ability was, and, the higher social support confidence was, the higher achievement of performance ability and relative ability achievement were. Forth, according to results of analysis on relationships among personality trait, self-confidence, and dance achievement of university dance majors, openness, conscientiousness, and extroversion as personality traits had direct effects on dance achievement, and had indirect effects on dance achievement through effects on self-confidence, too. Fifth, Therefore, there were causal relationships among personality trait, self-confidence, and dance achievement of university dance majors.
