Abstract
The purpose of this study is to confirm the diverse memories of inlets and tidal flats that are fading due to the creation of seawalls and reclaimed land. The effort sought to find the semantic network revealed by the diverse memories of the communities that accepts changes in the natural environment and means of livelihood. First, the people near the inlets on the inland side had a lot to gain from reclamation projects, because, for them, tidal flats were only a place of a playground or an abundance of side dish ingredients where they could get, but tidal flats were not directly related to their livelihood. Therefore, for them, the memories of inlets and tidal flats that have faded remain only beautiful memories. Thus, reverse reclamation, which could revive the lost inlets and tidal flats, is seen as a great opportunity for the ocean to bring another life-changing effect to them. For them, the sea is not their home of life. However, for those who have lost their means of livelihood of inlets and tidal flats due to the creation of seawalls and relcaimed land, the memories of the disappeared inlets and tidal flats are a life story in itself and a history of painful memories of the affected communities. For them, inlets and tidal flats were a place of livelihood, so the memories are not decorated with beautiful memories. But to them, reverse reclamation to revive the sea is meaningless. This is because the sea and community that they remember and dream of no longer exist as they were lost to the creation of seawalls and relcaimed land 40 years ago.
