본 연구의 목적은 생활 속의 한국무용교육에 대한 실태를 파악하여 효율적인 한국무용강습을 도모하고 저변확대를 위한 방안을 마련하는데 있다. 이를 위해 부산광역시에 소재하고 있는 5개 사회교육기관의 한국무용수업 수강생 145명에 게 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 불성실한 응답자료를 제외한 125부의 설문자료가 자료분석에 활용되었다. 자료분석을 위하여 빈도분석을 실시하였으며, 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 한국무용수업 참여자는 일반인들에 비해 고학력 자이며, 중류계층 이상의 생활수준을 가진 자로 나타났다. 둘째, 수강자들은 거 주지에서 가깝고, 수강료가 저렴한 곳을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 한국 무용에 참여한 목적은 건강유지, 한국무용에 대한 일반적인 지식 및 실력 향상, 정서적인 안정감 획득 순으로 나타났다. 넷째, 대부분의 수강자는 부채춤과 살풀 이춤을 배우는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 연습공간과 샤워시설의 부족을 지적하 였으며, 수강시간이 길어지기를 바라고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 보다 많 은 기관에서 한국무용 수업이 개설되기를 바라고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바 탕으로 한국무용이 나아가야할 방안을 결론 및 제언에 제시하였다.
Abstract
The Research for the promotion of Korean Dance Education in Busan Hyun, Im-Sook (Kyungnam University) The purpose of this study is to understand the status of Korean dance education to promote effective Korean dance lessons. For this purpose, questionnaires were administered to 145 Korean dance students from five social education institutions located in Busan, and 125 questionnaires were used for data analysis. Frequency analysis was performed for data analysis and the following results were found. First, Korean dance participants were more educated than ordinary people and had higher living standards than the Korean middle class. Second, students were found to prefer places that are close to their residence and cheaper registration fee. Third, the purposes of participating in Korean dance classes were to maintain health, improve general knowledge and ability of Korean dance, and acquire emotional stability. Fourth, most of the participants were found to learn fan dance. Fifth, dance students noted the lack of practice space and shower facilities, and they wanted to take longer class seesions. Sixth, dance students wanted to have more dance institutions for taking Korean dance classes. Based on the findings, practical implications were provided in the discussion section.
