Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the subjective cognitive tendencies of college students majoring in Korean dance regarding their intention to accept dance education using digital transformation technology through a Q-methodological approach. To this end, 30 students from the Department of Performing Arts at K University in Seoul were selected based on the small sample theory, and the Q sample was composed of 25 statements out of the 30 statements through a meeting of experts. Principal component factor analysis was performed on the collected data using the QUANL 1.2 program. The research results showed that Type I reduced the burden of traditional dance and pursues the development of Korean dance and performing arts by utilizing digital technology and data analysis. Type II recognized that digital technology contributes to the expansion of new content with a modern sensibility, diversification of the history of Korean dance, and improved accessibility. Type III provided opportunities for new content expansion through digital technology, but there are concerns about potential side effects such as damage to the tradition of Korean dance, personal information leakage, and dependence on digital technology. As a result, digital platforms have increased the accessibility of Korean dance and enabled the expansion of creative content, but the complexity of technology utilization, the burden of accessibility gaps, and social gaps have also been recognized as problems.
