본 연구는 20대 대학생의 연애와 결혼에 대한 인식과 데이트 경험을 서술 내러티브로 분석하여 남녀관계 가치관을 탐구하였다. 즉, 참여자들의 경험적 이야기를 통해 현대사회에서 인간관계 맺기의 중요성을 부각하는 문화를 조명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 현재 교양과목을 수강하고 있는 학생 50명을 선정하여, 데이트 행위라는 경험적 소재를 중심으로 과정의 맥락적 분석을 통해 그 경험이 갖는 교육적 의미와 시사점을 도출하였다. 연구 결과, 대학생들의 데이트 경험은 ‘연애라는 것’, ‘데이팅의 빛’, ‘조건 속 만남’, ‘연애의 레시피’, ‘연애는 모험’이라는 다섯 단계로 구분되었다. 이 다섯 단계는 개인이 연애에 대해 기대하는 바와 개별 주체의 성장 과정으로 의미화되어 나타났으며, 참여자들은 자기성찰 내러티브 과정을 통해 긍정적 경험으로 전환되었다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 사회문제가 되는 연애 및 결혼 가치관 변화에 도움을 줄 수 있는 교육적 차원의 후속 연구를 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study explored the narratives of dating and marriage among university students in their 20s and analyzed the values formed through their dating experiences. By examining participants' experiential stories, the study sought to understand a culture that highlights the importance of human relationships in modern society. Fifty students enrolled in liberal arts courses participated, and dating was used as a focus to derive educational meanings and implications through a contextual analysis of their experiences. The results divided college students' dating experiences into five stages: What Is Called Love, The Light of Dating, Meeting Under Conditions, The Recipe of Love, and Dating Is an Adventure. These stages reflect individual expectations of love and personal growth processes, with participants gaining positive insights through the narrative process. Based on these findings, the study suggests exploring educational methods to address the changes in non-dating and non-marriage values that have become social issues.
