코로나시대 고전기반 온라인 인성교육 교육효과성 분석 ― 성균관대학교 <성균논어> 교과교육을 중심으로 ―

Abstract

In modern society, it is becoming more important to internalize the values ​​and virtues of personality to acquire communication and conflict resolution skills, and to develop democratic citizenship capabilities that emphasize respect for others and collaborative communication. Accordingly, the government enacted the Character Education Promotion Act in 2015 and is paying much attention to the character education of youth. In the background above, Sungkyunkwan University has been conducting character education based on the East Asian classic 『論語』 as a compulsory liberal arts education since 2013. This is because the Analects not only contain strong trust in humans, but also suggest a realistic and easy way for the realization of humanity. In addition, it contains the essence of East Asian ideology and culture, including Korea, so it has an advantage in seeking the path of a Korean-style human being. However, there are still very few quantitative studies on whether the Analects class actually affects the personality change of college students. In this study, the personality changes of 210 students in 6 classes were analyzed to examine the effect of the Analects class at Sungkyunkwan University. First, the personality score of all participants increased by 0.0625 points (out of 5 points) per question, and the significance was 0.131. Since it did not meet the statistical significance (p<.05), it can be seen that the effect of the class is not clear. The reason for these results is that the average value of each item was 4.101 points (out of 5 points), which was high even before class. Therefore, it is judged that it is necessary to revise the too plain questions. However, in the results of analysis by 16 sub-competences, a statistically significant change (p<.05) can be confirmed in a total of 5 competencies. One of the reasons why this effect appeared in specific specific competencies was that it was difficult for the instructor to explain all the parts in the 15-week class, and the emphasis was different. Therefore, in the future, if the students are taught more intensively on the areas lacking, and if the instructors share the teaching know-how, a greater effect can be expected.
