Abstract
The purpose of this article in to examine the usage of the word ‘musical sensitivity’ in some studies, and to provide music teachers with several ways of teaching. We can see that musical sensitivity is related to the perception of musical elements, the aesthetic response to music, and the discrimination between musical concepts in many articles. But we need a wider meaning of musical sensitivity including the following properties: perception of musical concepts; thinking about musical meaning; experience of performing music; comprehensive experience of music; selection and concentration; attitude as a critic; and musical sensitivity as a lifelong energy. Music teachers need to help their students to develop musical sensitivities in terms of those properties.
