정(情) 윤리의 정립: 배려 윤리와의 관계를 중심으로

본 연구는 한국인이 추구해온 이상적이고 윤리적인 가치인 정(情)의 개념을 탐구하고, 배려 윤리와의 관계를 통해 정 윤리를 정립하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 제시하면, 첫째, 정은 사람, 사물, 동물, 환경 등 대상과의 지속적인 접촉과 경험을 통해서 대상과 형성하게 되는 총체적인 유대감을 말한다. 모든 정이 도덕적인 것은 아니며, 도덕적 정은 자신과 타자에게 좋은 삶을 살도록 하고 서로의 선에 기여한다. 정의 조망은 나와 상대방과의 경계가 없이 우리의식에 기반하며, 정 윤리는 의무의 윤리라기보다는 성향의 윤리이고 도덕적 정서를 중시 여긴다. 둘째, 배려 윤리나 정 윤리는 모두 도덕적 자아를 관계적인 자아로 이해한다. 배려 윤리는 관계 윤리에 기반하면서도 일원적인 교환의 양식에 기초하지만, 정 윤리는 쌍방향적인 그물망 조직의 관계이며 수평적인 관계를 기반으로 한다. 정 윤리는 관계적인 주체를 강조하지만, 그 주체는 우리-내-존재이다. 또한 정 윤리가 기반으로 하고 있는 인식론은 모든 존재가 서로 연관되어 있다는 존재에 대한 인식을 기반으로 하여, 상대방을 특별하고 의미있는 존재로 지각한다. 셋째, 도덕교육에서 도덕적 정을 나누는 것이 도덕적 주체의 통일된 인격이 되도록 하기 위해서 정의적인 공동 경험의 공유, 그리고 관계, 심정, 의미의 구현화 및 삶의 이야기의 해석학적 순환을 통한 존재 이해, 관계망의 전환을 통한 관계적 분리의 실현이 요구된다. 정 윤리는 정 관계의 형성과 관계적 분리의 조화가 이루어져야 한다.
Abstract
I studied the concept of Cheong and the establishment of the ethic of Cheong in relation with ethic of caring. The research result is as follows. First, Cheong is the holistic bond forming through the continuous contacts and experiences with others, objects, animals and the environment. Every Cheong is not moral. Moral Cheong is related to the good life and the good of self and other. Perspective of Cheong is based on we-consciousness beyond the boundaries between self and others, and the ethic of Cheong is the ethic of disposition emphasizing moral emotion and feeling. Second, the ethic of Cheong and the ethic of caring regard moral self as the relational self. The ethic of caring is based on the style of single circulation and the ethic of Cheong is based on the relationship of bilateral network and horizontal relation. The subject of the ethic of Cheong is the relational suject as being-in-the-weness. The epistemology of the ethic of Cheong perceives others as the special and meaningful beings with awareness of the interdependence of every being. Third, we need the opportunity to have the affective co-experiences, the embodiment of relationship, Shim-Cheong and meaning, the opportunity to understand a human being by way of hermeneutics circle and the realization of a relational detachment through the conversion of relational web in moral education. The ethic of Cheong should keep the balance between a formation of Cheong relation and a relational detachment.
