이 논문의 일차적 목적은 ‘유가의 도덕문화’가 ‘현대사회의 발전’에 기여할 수 있는 부분을 밝히고자 하는 것이다. 유가의 도덕문화를 해석하기 위해 채택한 이론적 배경은 ‘문화적 지식 구성 이론(Cultural Knowledge Construct Theory)’이고, 여기에 추가해서 유가의 도덕문화가 ‘현대사회의 발전’에 함의하는 바를 해석하기 위해 채택한 이론적 배경은 ‘인간체계 이론(Human Systems Theory)’이다. 이 연구의 특징은 한 마디로 기존의 정통 유가사상에서 다루었던 도덕문화와 사회발전 관계를 ‘문화적 지식-구성 이론’과 ‘인간체계 이론’에 의거해서 새롭게 해석하고자 하는데 있다고 하겠다. 이 논문에서의 논의 전개는 크게 두 부분으로 구성되는데, 먼저 1) 유가사상이 지향한 사유논리와 도덕문화에서의 ‘조화’와 ‘합일’ 특징을 다루었다. 그런 다음 2) 이러한 유가사상의 사유논리와 도덕문화가 현대사회, 특히 인간체계(Human Systems)가 직면한 위기들을 극복하는데 윤리적으로 함의하는 바를 평가하고, 더 나아가서 유가의 도덕문화가 보완해야 할 과제가 무엇인지를 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to study the implication how Confucian moral culture can influence on modern society development. I apply ‘cultural knowledge construct theory’ in order to interpret Confucian moral culture. And I use ‘human systems theory’ to determine the implication that Confucian moral culture has over modern society development. In a word, unlike the traditional Confucianism study, the characteristic of my paper lies in trying to interpret newly the Confucian moral culture by using ‘cultural knowledge construct theory’ and ‘human systems theory.’ The framework of this paper is largely consisted of two part : 1) to explore the characteristic of thinking logic and mocal culture in Confucian thought; 2) to assess the ethical implication that Confucian thinking logic and moral culture has on solving the crises which modern society, namely, ‘human systems’ confront with, and further to suggest the task that Confucian moral culture need for supplementation each other.
