Abstract
Most of the constructionist approaches share important underlyingassumptions that Grammar does not involve any transformation, andsemantics is associated directly with surface form. Although CognitiveGrammar and Construction Grammar share a great deal including theabove, there is one important difference between Cognitive Grammarand Construction Grammar. Goldberg(2006: 224) argues that the constructionis the semantic head of the clause against the idea of Langacker(2005)that the verb is always the semantic head of the clause. In this paper, some of Korean verbs are analyzed within the framework of AccompaniedExperience Network Model, which is based on Neural Theory ofLanguage, and it is suggested that there are three typical ways forKorean verbs to interact with Sentence- patterns. Therefore, Jeong(2009)’sexplanation about this topic has to be complemented by additionalfindings. The results of this study could have a non-trivial impact ondeveloping and modelling self- taught learning intelligence, whichinvolves in the interaction between verbs and sentence-patterns in Korean
