초록

본 연구는 20세기 유대교 철학과 사상을 대표하는 부버와 로젠츠바이크의 주저의 출간과 레비나스가 본격적 학문의 시작 100주년을 맞아 헌정의 성격을 지닌다. 이들의 ‘새로운 사고’는 이들이 겪은 ‘쇼아’의 구체적인 경험과 사실들 그리고 ‘계시망각’으로 인한 관념론과 실존철학에서의 ‘나’ 중심적 사유와 ‘앎’에 근거한 ‘존재중심’ 사고에 이의를 제기한다. 그래서 사람들의 ‘존재’ 이전에 형성된 ‘관계성’과 그것을 전한 ‘계시’에 주목한다. 이들의 저서를 분석하고 비교함으로써 도출된 타인에 대한 대화의 자세 그리고 타인에 대한 우위성 및 책임과 환대의 정신이 오늘날 교회 공동체가 ‘코로나19’ 이후 전체주의적이면서도 개인주의적 사회분위기에 어떤 모습이어야 할지를 제시하고자 한다.

Abstract

This research is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the publication of the main works of Martin Buber and Franz Rosenzweig, and of the beginning of Emmanuel Levinas’ academic study, who represent Jewish philosophy and thought. Their ‘new thinking’ disputes the ‘being-centered’ thinking based on ‘I’ and ‘knowledge’ in Idealism and existential philosophy due to the experiences and facts of the ‘Shoah’ and the ‘revelation oblivion’ they lived through. It focuses on the ‘relationships’ that were formed before people's ‘existence’ and the ‘revelations’ that conveyed them. By analyzing and comparing their writings, responsibility for others that emerge from their writings suggest how church communities today should respond to the post-COVID-19 trend of totalitarian yet individualistic societies.
