A police is closest to people, especially about investigation and maintenance of security. A police must protect human rights of the people, due to their duty and role of the police. Nevertheless we can read cases about human rights violations by the police in Newspaper and the Annual Report National Human Rights Commission of the Republic of Korea. People that read the cases can think that Police is unreliable officer. Police efforts to improve their reliance for the recovering their post of protect agency. One of the efforts is Improvement of police's consciousness through Human rights education. Police can violate people's human rights. For example, in the course of investigation and the maintenance of public order. Police can invade the suspect's human rights by non-adherence criminal procedure or belittling him. The possibility of human rights violation by police can exist various ways. Nevertheless human rights education at police is one off, cluster education, short of diversity. The purpose of human rights education is beyond transmitting the knowledge and skill, experiencing what is the meaning of the human rights. Human rights education about human rights, for human rights, of human rights for achievement of the purpose. Police education about human rights can be improved by training human rights instructor, development on-line education program, expansion education program through experiencing, using various teaching materials.
