동화 『강아지똥』에 나타난 생명체 간의 대화적 소통에 관한존재론적 고찰: 언어적 의미와 교육적 시사점을 중심으로

권정생 선생님의 동화 『강아지똥』에는 강아지똥, 지수화풍, 식물, 동물, 사람, 창조주 등 다양한 형태의 생명체들이 교감을 나누면서 대화적 삶을 형성해 나간다. 이 글은 이들 생명체들이 신체언어에 기반해 대화적 소통을 구현해 나가는 삶의 형성 과정이 언어적으로 어떤 가치가 있는지 고찰하여 기호언어 체계 속에서 살아가는 인간의 존재 구성에 가지는 교육적 시사점을 찾고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 의식적, 신체적, 영적 차원에서 언어의 의미를 해석한 동서양의 문헌들을 찾아 상호 비교하면서 이들 간의 통섭적 언어성을 재개념화하고, 본 동화에 내재된 언어성이 인간과 세계의 대화적 소통에 갖는 존재론적 함의를 찾는다. 연구의 결과는 1) 『강아지똥』에서 신체에 기반한 다른 생명체들의 말(이미지텔링)은 존재 구성적 측면에서 기호에 기반한 인간의 말(스토리텔링)과는 어떤 차별적 특성을 가지는지, 2) 이러한 특성들에 기반해 강아지똥이 다른 생명체들과 대화적 삶의 의미를 지각하고 구현하는 과정은 인간의 존재 구성에 어떤 존재론적 함의를 가지는지를 다양한 철학적, 종교적, 과학적 문헌과의 비교를 통해 재개념화 한다. 결론적으로 본 논문은 인간이 의식적, 신체적, 영성적 차원의 존재성을 통섭하고, 다른 생명체들과의 대화적 삶을 구현하는데 요청되는 언어성의 성격이 무엇인지 재개념화하고, 그 교육적 시사점을 제안한다.
Abstract
In the fairy tale 『Puppy Poop』 by Kwon Jeong-saeng, various forms of life forms such as puppy poop, earth-water-fire-air, plants, animals, people, and the Creator interact and form a dialogical life. This paper examines the linguistic value of the process of life formation in which these creatures implement dialogical communication based on physical language, and seeks educational implications for human living in a symbolic language system. To this end, this paper searches for Eastern and Western literature that interprets the meaning of language in conscious, physical, and spiritual dimensions, reconceptualizes the structure of integrative language among them, and finds the ontological implications of the language inherent in this fairy tale for dialogical communication between humans and the world. The results of the study are 1) what distinctive characteristics do the body-based speech (image-telling) of other living beings in 『Dog Poop』 have in terms of the composition of existence compared to the symbol-based speech (story-telling) of humans? 2) Based on these characteristics, the process by which Dog Poop perceives and implements the meaning of dialogical life with other living beings is reconceptualized through comparison with various philosophical, religious, and scientific literature to determine what ontological implications it has for the composition of human existence. In conclusion, this paper reconceptualizes the nature of language required for humans to integrate conscious, physical, and spiritual dimensions of existence and to realize a dialogical life with other living beings, and suggests educational implications.
