요골말단부위의 골밀도는 DEXA(Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry, Lunar Pixi)를 이용하여 측정하였다. 낮은 골량의 위험을 감소시키는 인자는 체질량지수(OR=0.663 95% CI 0.492 ~0.893)와 체중(OR=0.867 95% CI 0.780~0.963)과 체지방(OR= 0.753 95% CI 0.623~0.910)이었다.
Abstract
Objectives: The aims of this study were to evaluate the factors that affect to the bone mineral density (BMD) in Vietnam women who are ages from 18 to 40, and to identify correlation between various factors weight, height, body mass index(BMI) and BMD. Methods: Distal forearm BMD was measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry in intermarried Vietnam women. The mean age, height, weight, waist, hip, body fat, fat percent were measured. Odds ratios of the risk factors of low bone mass were calculated by the unconditional logistic regression model. Results: The weight, BMI, waist circumference, hip circumference, body fat and body fat percentage of physical characteristics were significantly related to a BMD in Vietnam women. The factors that decrease risk of low bone mass were BMI(OR=0.663 95% CI 0.492~0.893), weight(OR=0.867 95% CI 0.780~0.963) and body fat(OR=0.753 95% CI 0.623~0.910). Simpleand multiple linear regression analyses showed significant positive relation between BMD and BMI. In contrast, the age had no correlation with BMD. Conclusion: Among factors affecting to BMD in intermarried Vietnam women, BMI were the most important factors. Therefore to raise BMI is significant factor to prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
