초록
Fusobacterium pseudoperiodonticum is a recently described anaerobic oral bacterium associated with periodontal disease. We report the complete genome sequence of strain KCOM 1262, isolated from the tongue biofilm of a gingivitis patient. The genome consists of a single circular chromosome (2,643,576 bp; 28.0% G+C content) with 2,764 total genes, including 2,504 protein-coding genes, 15 rRNA genes, 46 tRNA genes, three non-coding RNAs, and 196 pseudogenes. Genes related to adhesion, hemolysis, secretion, iron uptake, and antibiotic resistance, including β-lactam and tetracycline resistance, were identified. This genome sequence may provide a useful resource for understanding the biology of F. pseudoperiodonticum and its potential roles in oral disease.
