초록
Prevotella intermedia KCOM 1741, isolated from a human submandibular space abscess, has a bipartite genome of 2,928,459 bp comprising two circular chromosomes (2,191,051 bp and 737,408 bp). Chromosome 1 contains core functions, virulence factors, iron acquisition systems, and CRISPR-Cas defense, whereas Chromosome 2 harbors the CfxA β-lactamase gene, additional adhesins, and more secretion system components. This asymmetric distribution indicates chromosomal specialization, with Chromosome 1 maintaining essential pathogenicity and Chromosome 2 contributing to resistance and adaptation. The genome sequence may provide useful insights for future studies on oral infections and Prevotella evolution.
