韓国における日本古典文学の翻訳の問題を廻って -『今昔物語集』を中心に-

韓国において日本古典の翻訳は二〇〇〇年代に入って飛躍的に増え、その作品数は五十以上にものぼる。本稿では、まず翻訳された作品を紹介し、次は、翻訳の問題を日本語に対するハングル表記、文化の違いから生じた場合とに分けて考察する。表記の問題は主に固有名詞に関してであって、翻訳者によってばらばらである翻訳の現状を踏まえて、より合理的な表記の方法を探っていく。また、同じ漢字文化圈でありながら漢字の意味が日本と韓国で違う事例として、日本の「鬼」と「もののけ」などに対応する韓国の表現について検討していく。最後に『今昔物語集』の翻訳の意義について触れながら、諸研究者の口伝説話の分類案と文献説話の分類案、そして両者を念頭に置いた分類案の問題点を紹介する。
Abstract
In 21st century, the number of translated Japanese classical literature in Korea increased dramatically and exceeded 50. In this essay, texts translated in Korean will be introduced, and then the issues in translating will be discussed. Determining circumstances in which proper nouns should be translated in Korean and analyzing cultural differences will be addressed. Particularly on proper nouns, translations varying depending on the translator will be analyzed and a better method will be recommended. Although Japan and Korea both share the same Chinese character culture,「oni」and「mononoke」will be used as an example to analyze how the Korean and Japanese versions differ from each other. The words translated in Korean will also be discussed. Lastly, the significance of translating Konjaku monogatarishu, fairy tales grouped in certain aspects by many researchers, and their issues will be introduced.
