This paper aimed to criticize the analogical discussions between sport and arts(dance), and the legitimacy of “expression domain” in Korea national curriculum of P.E. The main issues of this paper are followings. (1) There are positive and negative arguments on the analogy between sport and arts. But, negative argument is reasonable, as David Best has been asserted continuously. (2) Sports’ lack the expressive value, although sports are beautiful. (3) Therefore, Korea national curriculum of P.E. have a serious difficulty to categorizing rhythmic gymnastics, musical rope skipping activity, creative gymnastics, synchronized swimming, figure skating, and dances into expression domain.
Abstract
