The objective of this paper is to analyze errors in Chinese bǎ-construction in order to improve educational methods and learner attainment of the Chinese language by Koreans. This paper will illustrate a system of errors of Korean students make in using the Chinese bǎ-construction by analyzing the errors found in the compositions of 42 students who took a "Chinese Composition" course in a department of Chinese language at a university in Korea. This paper is formed by the following discussions: (1) to provide the data for error analysis and to analyze the various errors made in using Chinese bǎ-construction; (2) to sum up characteristic phenomena of error patterns made by Korean learners for an applicable method in learning, or in teaching Chinese bǎ-construction.
Abstract
