북한 문예창작이론 ‘종자론’의 이론적 실체와 창작 사례 연구

본 연구는 북한의 문예창작이론인 ‘종자론’을 1970년대부터 계보학적으로 접근하여 이를 계승하고 구체화한 김정웅의 『종자와 그 형상』을 라캉의 이론을 이어 받은 슬라보예 지젝의 ‘누빔점’ 개념으로 분석하고자 한다. 이렇게 이론적 측면을 살펴본 후 그 실천 사례로서《5대 혁명연극》중 하나인 「혈분만국회」와 1990년대 창작된 경희극 「약속」을 각각 분석하여 ‘종자’의 기능과 의미를 살펴보고 실제 창작의 영향에 대해 탐구하고자 한다. 종자는 결국 창작이론으로서 당 정책과 사상을 포괄해야 하는 의무를 가지게 되지만 그 의미가 충족되는 것은 결국 사후적으로 충족된다. <혈분만국회>의 경우 찬양되는 작품들이면서 동시에 이론적인 증명 작품으로 나타나기 때문에 그 사후적 의미와 논리가 충분히 채워지지만, ‘종자론’ 이론 성립 이후 실제 창작자에게 있어 ‘종자론’을 활용하여 창작하는 그 실천은 일정한 간극을 가지고 있음을 <약속>에서 확인할 수 있다. 따라서 작품 분석에 있어 ‘종자론’은 이데올로기의 측면을 보여주는 하나의 ‘누빔점’으로서 분석을 가능케 한다.
Abstract
This paper analyzed 'seed theory' in North Korea's literary creation theory through Slavoj Zišek's ideological theory. While previous studies have studied seed theory as 'arbitrary theory' and 'theory for governing discourse', this paper can be said to have studied actual creative cases, literary theoretical functions, and ideological effects. First, North Korea's literary creation books published in the 1970s were analyzed, the history of the changes were charted, and then Kim Jung-woong's “Seeds and Their Shape” was analyzed to submit opinions on the effectiveness and ideological function of “Seeds Without Significance” of “Seeds”. After that, the light comedy “Promise” was analyzed from a seed-based perspective and the actual creation site was examined. In conclusion, this study is meaningful to examine the dynamic trajectory of ‘seed theory’ together, and it was possible to see that all literary works operate as ‘party policy’ and ‘ideological illusion’ because ‘seed’ has no ‘signature without significance’, that is, no significance. The theoretical specificity of ‘seed’ in the 1970s was implemented within the North Korean internal system, and as a result, it can be said that Kim Jong-woong's books in the 1980s inherited it in a series and gained its substance. It was confirmed that ‘seed’ is a sign without significance, such as a quilted point, and works as a theoretical basis for combining party policy and ideological instructions.
