북한의 1970년대는 김정일의 주도로 주체사상의 체계화, ‘김일성주의화’, ‘온사회의 주체사상화’를 주장하며 주체사상의 일색화 투쟁으로 일관한 시기였다. 김정일은 이 시기에 이르러 이른바 ‘종자론’이라는 문예이론을 탄생시켰고, 이문예이론을 바탕으로 주체사상을 체제의 ‘사상적 알맹이’로 하는 주체사상을 ‘종자’ 화 하였다. 김정일은 또한 종자론을 정권의 세습체제 구축 이후에는 통치담론으로까지 발전시켰다. 이 연구는 김정일이 주체사상을 국가의 단일지도이념으로 ‘종자’화 한 과정과 목적, 그리고 그 배경적 특성을 분석한 것이다. 김정일은자신의 후계체제를 공고히 해야 할 시점에서 ‘김일성주의’ 실천과 유일지배체제구축 및 그 세습을 목표로 주체사상의 ‘종자’화를 진행시킨 것이다. 이렇게 만들어진 주체사상이라는 종자는 오늘날까지 북한체제의 통치이념 및 세습체제의 토대, 국가정체성으로 기능하고 있다.
Abstract
“Kim Il-sungism” of Juche Idea and “Juche Idealism of the Entire Society” were dominantly prevalent in North Korea in the 1970s. Initialized by Kim Jong-il, the Juche, or self-reliant thought permeated all corners of the reclusive state for that period. Kim Jong-il generated the so-called literary theory of “Jongja” in order to efficiently make his Juche Idea an “Jongja,” or seeds of the North Korea’s regime ideology. After the build-up of the regime’s hereditary system, Kim Jong-il developed this Jongja theory up to the government discourse. The Jongja of Juche Idea born after such efforts has served as the foundation for the guiding ideology and hereditary system of the North Korean ruling system and even functions as a state identity up to this day. This study aims to analyze the background and purpose which Kim Jong-il made the “Juche Idea” an only and single guidance ideology of North Korea, and the characteristics of its practices. The former North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il sought to make the Juch Idea Jongja in order to practice of the “Kim Il-sungim,” and consolidate and succeed his only and single governmental system in the period which he should have firmly strengthened his succession system.
