중국 대학교 교사의 소진 현상에 관한 연구 동향 분석－CiteSpace 시각화 도표에 기반으로－

Abstract

The job burnout of college teachers has become a crucial factor that hinders the development of higher education in China. Paying attention to this phenomenon, this study intended to investigate various journal articles that dealt with the job burnout of college teachers and to suggest directions and guidance for future research by understanding the context of this phenomenon. This study investigated the research trend of 914 journal articles published at CNKI, which dealt with job burnout of college teachers in China. The articles were sorted out and systematically and comprehensively analysed using literature review and CiteSpace visual analysis software program. The results show that the researches conducted on job burnout of college teachers has developed in four stages: the initial stage, the rapid growth stage, the vigorous stage, and the continuously deeping stage. The study found that many studies were conducted based on academic perspective, while the interdisciplinary research is insufficient, and the number of articles published in core journals is relatively small. Unfortunately, most scholars and institutions are conducting research independently, resulting in low mutual cooperation and an insufficient number of core authors. In fact, the researches on job burnout of Chinese college teachers mainly focuses on analysing the causes of job burnout and intervention strategies. At the same time, these studies revealed various problems related in job burnout in multiple areas, regardless academic sphere. These findings imply that the research trend aligns with the policy changes intended to promote the development of high education in China.
