This study analyzes The Korea Magazine, an English-language monthly published during the Japanese colonial period, to explore its characteristics and examine the education status of Korea in the 1910s through the articles contributed by Koons. Published from January 1917 to April 1919, this magazine serves as a valuable document that records the complex social changes and educational conditions of early Japanese colonial period from a foreign perspective. The Korea Magazine, which is enriched with literary elements, focuses on broadening the understanding of Korea's culture, history, and educational situations among domestic and international missionaries and foreign readers.
